Young Entertainment Activists

Young Entertainment Activists (YEA!) believes that if Hollywood content creates culture, and if we want to change global culture, we need to change the people who make it. As an activist hub in the entertainment industry, the organization produces action-oriented events and initiatives to transform both the internal makeup of the industry and our world at large.

Production Initiatives Association

The Production Initiatives Association (PIA) advocates for New York State film-centric businesses with a sharp focus on a competitive NYS tax incentives and initiatives that serve the greater good.

Global Green Media Network

Bridging perspectives from film and media scholarship, environmental studies, social sciences, and political economy, the Global Green Media Network facilitates collaborations between industry, academia, and policymakers for rethinking a sustainable future for screen culture. The initiative is being developed with an Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) grant from the UK.

 

Filmmakers for Future

Filmmakers for Future (fm4f) is an international group of filmmakers with the goal to minimize the environmental impact of the global film industry, focusing primarily on raising awareness and encouraging the exchange of knowledge and experience.

Green The Bid

Partners in the Green the Bid community will share best practices, advocate for sustainable choices, and support one another in creating a green future for commercial production.

Creative Industries Pact

The Pact is an aspirational set of goals for the creative industries, encouraging voluntary action. The Pact also offers the opportunity for organizations and individuals to self report on their sustainability initiatives, and collaborate and celebrate within an international community of climate enthusiasts in the creative industries.

Materials for the Arts (MFTA) is New York City’s premiere municipal Creative REuse arts & education center.

Big ReUse (NYC)

Big Reuse salvages usable items from demolition and remodel projects and reintroduces them to the market.

Hollywood Food Coalition (LA)

Since 1987, the Hollywood Food Coalition is a non-profit that provides warm meals and basic daily needs, such as clothing, backpacks, sleeping bags, and hygiene items, as well as assistance with housing placement and referrals to those in need.
